About the role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in web development with expertise in front-end and back-end technologies. A key responsibility will be to integrate our systems with the FRCA VMS system, requiring a deep understanding of API integration and a willingness to learn the specifics of this system.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications using Drupal.
- Implement custom CSS to ensure responsive design and meet specific styling requirements.
- Integrate various payment gateways into existing and new platforms.
- Optimise websites and applications for mobile devices, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and excellent user experience.
- Develop and maintain deep API integrations with the FRCA VMS system, ensuring seamless data exchange and functionality.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code.
- Build interactive and dynamic front-end components using AngularJS.
- Design, develop, and manage MySQL databases.
- Collaborate with designers and other developers to achieve project goals.
- Troubleshoot and debug website and application issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a web developer with a strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies.
- Proficiency in Drupal development, including custom module and theme development.
- Strong HTML / CSS skills with experience in responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with payment gateway integration (e.g., PayPal, Stripe).
- Solid understanding of mobile optimisation principles and techniques.
- Experience with or willingness to learn and work on deep API integrations, specifically with the FRCA VMS system.
- Proficiency in PHP coding and MySQL database management.
- Experience with AngularJS or other JavaScript frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Bonus Points
- Experience with other CMS platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of web security best practices.
