The purpose of the Tradesperson role is to perform aircraft maintenance either in the Hangar or on the line, as well as to carry out maintenance-related tasks as directed by a Coordinator. The role is responsible for completing standard documentation and ensuring that all work is performed in compliance with approved data issued by Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) and the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure safe working practices in compliance with the relevant sections of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Fiji Airways MMOE, Technical Operating Procedures, and Line/ETOPS Manuals.
Complete all documentation in accordance with standards required by the appropriate regulatory authority.
Promote and demonstrate disciplined work practices.
Carry out instructions issued by approved engineers or Coordinators within the work area.
Perform Maintenance Watch duties as required.
Comply with relevant employment contracts and CPPM.
Exhibit behavior consistent with Fiji Airways values.
Service Ground Service Equipment in line with periodic check intervals and requirements.
Achieve individual and team goals, supporting and encouraging team objectives.
Demonstrate self-motivation, initiative, effective communication, and the ability to question, challenge, and collaborate as part of a team.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Line Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Successfully completed an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course from an approved tertiary institution.
Successfully completed formal familiarization courses on all aircraft types operated by the Company.
Holds a CAAF Aircraft Maintenance Certificate.
Successfully completed a Documentation and Procedures course.
Maintains acceptable recorded work experience in Practical Training Record Books.
