The Internal Auditor reports to the Head of Internal Audit and plays a key role in ensuring that audits are completed as per the approved Internal Audit Plan and are in accordance with the Internal Audit Charter and standards & guidelines issued by IIA.
Requirements
Key Accountabilities:
- Determine the internal audit scope, prepare the internal audit plan, and submit it for assessment by the Head of the Internal Audit
- Conduct rigorous audit testing as per the audit objectives and as per the approved internal audit plan.
- Maintain appropriate audit working papers and other supporting documents for the audit
- Compile clear, concise, and accurate audit reports documenting the audit findings, root cause analysis, and practical recommendations
- Submit the draft audit report to the Head of Internal Audit for review and address review notes provided by the Head of Internal Audit.
- Attend exit meetings for the completed audits and note action items
- Conduct follow-up audits upon finalization of the audit reports and ensure that corrective actions are implemented
- Assist in identifying key strategic, operational & compliance risks and controls within the business
- Carry out special investigations as and when required by Executive Management
- Carry out any other duties as delegated by the Head of Internal Audit and/or Chief Executive Officer
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance and/or Information Systems or related field
- More than 2 years of audit experience
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
- Must have good knowledge of the Telecommunication Industry
- Developing creative, innovative, and practical solutions. Showing independence and initiative in identifying and solving problems
- Goal driven/competitive with a desire to exceed goals and targets
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Positive attitude a team player and have a passion for high-quality output
- Must have data analytics and interpretation skills
- Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate audit reports
