There is an exciting opportunity in the IT department at Fiji Airways.

Reporting to the Manager IT Operations and Infrastructure, the successful incumbent will ensure the continual operations of IT infrastructure and network of Fiji Airways. Your primary responsibility will be to configure, manage and maintain the environments to the defined standard and to lead projects that uplift network and infrastructure confidentiality, integrity and availability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the assigned network and infrastructure improvements projects to sustain future need.
• Monitor and respond to alerts or notifications to mitigate risks of compromises.
• Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Create knowledge base materials to demonstrate and adapt ITIL practices on service, change, incident and problem management.
• Design, build and implement IT infrastructure and network solutions and be able to liaise and collaborate with third party vendors where applicable.
• Manage and maintain an updated route to live environment with strong access management controls (need to know, principles of least privilege).
• Maintain network and system security in-line with IT Policy and procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software problems and guide the level 1 support team to achieve their SLA’s.
• Be the focal point for provisioning and withdrawal of system access and collaborate with internal departments for appropriate access levels for file systems.
• Self- audit and remediate any risk associated with back-up and recovery procedures.
• Maintain datacenter and disaster recovery site operations to ensure key components are tested and functional.
• Manage third party and be the first point of contact for incident and problem management with vendor support.
• Analyze and report quality and performance management metrics on a daily basis.
• Perform periodic datacenter maintenance procedures, firmware updates, operating system patching, virtualization platform and hyper-converged environment updates.
• Mentor and train an IT Engineers team to provide escalated Level 2 support.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Must have a Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology.
• CCNA/ Microsoft/ VMware certified is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT environment.
• Minimum 3 years’ demonstrated experience in systems/ networks administration.
• Possess hands on experience with VMware, Microsoft AD & Exchange, Fortinet & Cisco devices.
• Complex network & infrastructure experience and ability to design and implement solutions.
