Full-Time Technical Services Engineer-(Maintenance Program)

The Technical Services Engineer (Maintenance Program) reports to the Manager Technical Services and is responsible for developing, administering, and maintaining the Maintenance Program system for the Fiji Airways and Fiji Link fleet of aircraft.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and report on the CPCP (Corrosion Prevention and Control Program) and Ageing Aircraft Program for the Fiji Airways and Fiji Link fleet.
  • Review and amend the Aircraft Maintenance Program in response to changes in aircraft utilization, manpower availability, downtime, and route network requirements.
  • Introduce new or revise existing maintenance requirements to address in-service issues or global fleet concerns.
  • Prepare justifications to support major changes to the Maintenance Program, including escalation of periodic checks and component maintenance intervals.
  • Develop and deliver submissions and presentations to Engineering Management and CAAF to obtain initial approval and subsequent acceptance of program changes.
  • Review maintenance findings, perform root cause analysis, and liaise with OEMs to propose appropriate adjustments to maintenance requirements.
  • Present proposed Maintenance Program changes at ETOPS/MRG meetings for approval and incorporation.
  • Liaise with approved external engineering and maintenance support organizations, vendors, and manufacturers on technical matters.
  • Maintain effective communication with Production, Quality Assurance, and Planning teams to ensure coordinated Technical Services support.
  • Actively participate as a member of the Modifications Committee and Maintenance Review Group.
  • Provide research and advisory support to other Fiji Airways departments in resolving technical issues, as requested by the Manager Technical Services.
  • Ensure that any company-initiated changes to the manufacturer’s specifications (manuals, operations, overhaul, or parts) are technically sound and properly documented.
  • Fully utilize the functionality of AMOS to support maintenance program management and related responsibilities.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager or Section Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or
  • Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, with appropriate ratings.
  • Additional appropriate experience may be substituted for the minimum education requirement.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in an Engineering environment.
  • In depth knowledge of aircraft systems as well as comprehensive understanding of the Engineering & Maintenance requirements of an aircraft.
  • Experience in using computer-based maintenance control programs.
  • Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement.
